i think @zinger made a good point about maybe the better path is not a global badge but local/personalized badges. relevancy to viewing user based on mutual follows

what types of heuristics are ya'll thinking for usefulness? would be cool to experiment with measuring quality of incoming engagement for a profile. even though quality is subjective, there is still a reasonable and transparent way to be opinionated on this. down to help.

The hardest two problems are caching and naming things. I think the current badge is mis-named. Many users self-identify as “active” but aren’t in the top-10% of the network that you are trying to identify. This causes bad vibes. Would love to see activity as more a spectrum (ie top-50%, top-25%, etc)

i don’t think active is the badge. you need a (team?) data scientist that can explore the onchain info of a connected wallet address and determine a level of trustworthiness (or qDAU’ness) based on that.
