Make a first principles argument why price matters if you don't own the asset.

Two assets

$0.00001 with 1 billion tokens

$0.1 with 1 trillion tokens

price is meaningless for average user since you won't be able to do the mental math

And when it's 3 or 4 decimals and it causes cognitive confusion to figure out if the asset is 10x the previous value or 90% reduction?

As a user, I want to know the value of one unit of the asset

price without market cap doesn't tell you anything
market cap without price still tells you something

To be clear: we should probably add price to this page. But from a first principles argument, price independently doesn't solve for anything.

price has high information density. price is lindy. agree, mc is required for complete understanding. not including price feels like a bug
