“What are you doing to help small accounts on Farcaster?” We have a lot more work to do, but here’s what we’ve done in the last few months to improve: 1. Moved initial feeds away from a follow-based model to algorithmic and interest-based model 2. A daily set of boosted accounts with <10K followers 3. USDC rewards normalized by followers 4. A bunch of experiments and tweaks to improve the home feed to show interesting casts from people you don’t follow yet More to come!

i really think adding the smallest of indicators on the mentions tab for when you have new replies that aren't displayed on priority would be an immense boon to new accounts. i miss quite a few high quality replies b/c i'm not conditioned to check it. have seen other people post about the same psychology i'm describing several times recently

I'm one of those small accounts that got boosted, and have gotten the 5USDC every day so far. I continue to accumulate followers daily because my casts continue to get seen, in part because of the algorithm tweaks, but also because I know how to work with an algorithm. There is not such thing as a perfect algorithm that's going to make everybody happy. But there is a set of skills creators can build that will give them an edge in getting their content shown. There are some new accounts getting caught up in the "more replies" and I do think that's a problem that needs to be tackled, so I'm very glad to see y'all continuing to work on the problem.

PSA: Twitter does none of these and nothing for smaller accounts. Nor on Twitter can any small account engage with anyone that cares. I think it’s great the team cares, works on it, and communicates about it.

Growing a small account is not easy anywhere. Period. I’d argue it’s easier to grow on Farcaster than on X or IG or any other platform. Keep showing up and be active.

Cannot say the recent changes have had a positive impact on my small active account. A drastic change happened to create the recent horizontal growth line. Slowest rate of growth since I joined in February and the content is just as mid as ever, so it ain’t me

If power badges are gone, then why are frames collapsed for non-pb users? It's discouraging for me to continue making frames if people can't see them, and it's also harder to navigate the platform.
