Crypto competitive intensity is dramatically lower than AI. But crypto total addressable market today is dramatically lower (in terms of # of consumers). This is because there are too few people with funded wallets actively transacting onchain every day. The chasm to cross is grow number of users with funded wallets transacting onchain using crypto apps. Huge contrarian, alpha available to investors who back the teams that crack the user problem.

Sometimes I wonder if we're looking at crypto TAM the right way. Like maybe the market should comprise of the revenue potential of the solution, regardless of whether crypto is involved or not. But I suppose the counter argument is as much as we talk about abstracting out the chain, we haven't fully gotten there yet all across the board, so the TAM is still limited to crypto then from there SAM -> SOM...I go back and forth on this a lot in my head.
