What’s the most credible argument that the current president can’t run for re-election yet can continue with the world’s toughest job for another 100 days?

The argument that 100 days vs. 4 more years is moot if you have another Cuban Missile Crisis in September.

Isn't the argument that presidents are actually mostly talking heads 99% of the time and the real intelligence and strategy work is being done by real professional's which job is not to lie comfortably in front of the cameras?

Disagree. One of Biden’s greatest strengths is that he’s put together a capable team. You’re conflating electability with executive capabilities. I’m thinking you probably know those are different things.

Why? I can take working 100 more days without taking vacations, but not 4 more years. More seriously, there are cases when you see your health degrade at a rate that you know you can commit to something for a given period, but not for a much longer one.

it's really not. if you think there will be some chance of a crisis in 4 months, then you think there is more of that same chance over 4 years. Have you really honestly never said "I can probably do X for Y time, but not 12Y"?

Why? Just like in companies, certain people may be fine to keep in their positions in the short term (esp. considering the disruptions of replacing them right away), but that over the long term you need a different set of skills

That assumes he is incapable of making decisions today already. It’s definitely possible, but you’d agree it’s an assumption and not a fact that you know for sure?

I feel like this argument is pretty strong given the fact he is 81 and seems to show his age.

“are the vibes good or bad” or “is there a critical mass of ppl who think he can win or not.” misunderstanding why he dropped out to think it’s anything but
