What’s the most credible argument that the current president can’t run for re-election yet can continue with the world’s toughest job for another 100 days?

The argument that 100 days vs. 4 more years is moot if you have another Cuban Missile Crisis in September.

Disagree. One of Biden’s greatest strengths is that he’s put together a capable team.

You’re conflating electability with executive capabilities. I’m thinking you probably know those are different things.

He makes the final call after hearing input from advisors, military generals, cabinet, etc.

Let’s not miss the forest for the trees. His record thus far shows he’s plenty capable of leading the country currently. Polling and narrative show he’s not in a good position to beat Trump, likely replacements polling better. Biden and his party don’t want Trump to win - so they run one of those candidates instead. Makes sense.

He doesn’t say in his statement that he’s not fit to lead, he says “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country” for him not to run for re-election.

So the idea of him being unfit or unable to run the country is an opinion you’ve added in to the situation.

It’s called Commander in Chief for a reason?
