In the short term, it's bad: There aren't enough people in the channel. In the long term, it's good: just like early-stage Farcaster, where you invite people one by one. This helps build a strong community vibe and reduces spam. So I choose Neutral, it's hard to predict how long the short term will last..

Breaking changes happen, but I would have used a feature flag to implement it and test it on a group of users first.

Generally feeling good! But also too early to tell :) My guess is that this will end up in a barbell distribution of half casts going to main feed and half casts going into channels. My hope is that it makes discovery of new accounts easier in main feed while tightening up the cozy corners in channels.

Small request, when sending invites the list that appears to invite from is not channel specific it seems. Would be really helpful to be able to specifically invite from the people already following.

i like the UI much more in general, only issue to me i guess is having to DM people to rejoin channels i liked and it feels like i am annoying them i am also receiving tons of dms

Too early to ask for feedback. People are resistant to changes. It’s like asking what they think the day after Facebook change the UI how they feel. You’ll get only complaints, after 2 weeks everyone has forgotten the old one and no one complains anymore

I feel pretty good: IMHO the pros outweigh the cons, especially in the long term. One thing’s for sure: the technical potential of channels just increased exponentially!

The new channel rules feel like a bot moderation response. In a way it’s solving the tough question of Farcaster as permissioned vs permissionless by moving the (controversial) decision up the stack. Lol who is answering this poll? What exactly are the positive changes supposed to be? I have a 105 day streak in /food and humbly I’m definitely one of the top casters in the channel. Yet for 118k there’s 266 “members” and blatant AI bullshit if you look for 30 seconds. You need people who are willing to tell you some of your ideas are garbage (here I am)

I’m a fan outside of the removal of the algorithm which I expected would be something I missed and brought up to you earlier. I’m sure someone will address that soon. It seems like it’ll make combatting spam easier. My only additional request would be a permanent ban on members that get kicked out. - maybe that already exists.
