I usually just ask our customers that directly (bc most of our competitors suck so aren't as useful as a benchmark, but get your point lol)

True and not. Benchmarking is never a bad idea :) Checking why you can make a better product then they do is how you grow ;)

couldn't agree more. also the reason why "asking people for feedback" never works. people don't know why something sucks, they just don't want to use it
