finally decided to read Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect and boy oh boy would highly recommend. It's a quick read and really makes you think about goal functions both for people and machines. Also it was published in 2002 and that's just ~nuts~

I think the fact that I have a hacker mindset and commitment issues is no coincidence. standup-spotlight-git-main-vivs-projects-c6d998d2.vercel.app ok tbh frames should be way simpler to build than they are. this was a side project and so many things are dumb wrong with it and yet it's SO SIMPLE. It's helpful to try out these things though. makes us realize how far we have to go before "everyone's" goal of onboarding a billion people is realized..

I'm trying to understand why X/TikTok etc. have such negative spirals from comments. Like one negative comment encourages another ten people to be negative. Is it just that @farcaster is still a sub culture? Does the mainstream narrative ruin every bit of positivity?
