That makes sense, then. Membership mitigates the spam, and then allows channel owners to just ban them.
I also consider legitimate user cast visibility to be a problem too, though. @dwr.eth. It may not be as apparent to bigger accounts, because it isn't a problem for them, but try it with a new account. For example, things I cast into other channels sometimes don't make it into Main (I have one I posted yesterday in /farcaster that never made it to Main) because I'm not followed by the channel owner or my cast wasn't liked by them (so it default dumps into Recent). Of course, the argument could be made that my cast wasn't interesting, and I guess that is fair.
On the flip side, there are channel owners like @ispeaknerd.eth that are really diligent about helping with content visibility because they want their channel to grow and members to feel heard...but there are some channels where legitimate casts get no visibility, and that is frustrating. 1 reply
