I did that originally and within an hour it was overrun with spam Maybe things have improved since then but without anti spam measures, popular channels would get overrun

100% and If cost of moderation is the issue, allow users to pay or stake tokens as a deposit. Idk. We have to have more creative solutions than "no one can post unless I say so"
