should be able to request to join a channel + cast in that channel immediately and the cast only gets cast when you're approved. Also be able to deep link to cast composer with a channel invite embedded Current UX for what we're using /frames-devs for is pretty bad. We're linking from the @frames debugger "Ask a question" to wc cast composer with channel set to /frames-devs.

For now I would change the link in the debugger to be a channel invite link and say “Join our support channel”

agree on the "pending casts" – I assume channels are missing out on quality posts because of the delay between idea and execution

It would indeed be a much better workflow if you were able to request to post, and as long as the post was in line you were approved for membership in the same task. Also no request membership button is a massive oversight.

I think there are certain channels that should be community run and open to all, and this should be one of them. Where do I go if I have a question about how all of this works?

It‘s a painful UX for the few real users that want to engage across channels. Only good thing is the value of channels was near 0 before due to spam and this update may lead to sth better soon.
