When thinking about decentralized social networking, the Fediverse is taking the approach of having the content travel (I post from Mastodon, you read from Threads). I think a much better model is one where the social graph travels: when I log in on a 3rd party website, my social graph is there.

Meta isn’t going to let the graph travel. :)

Who said they need to allow it? I'm sure someone could watch a few @eulerlagrange.eth talks and then emancipate it.

Before zkTLS there were two problems with exporting social graph: 1. Technically not possible because of non-repudiation in TLS We’ve solve this problem where it reduces to getting the user to login. 2. A compelling product that people want to use —- I talk to a lot of people who want to vampire Twitter. They all think a token is enough to get people to move, but I’m skeptical. FC doesn’t have a token, what does the token do for a vampire when it’s complete? You still need to build a product people want to use on its own merits. —- Farcaster is perfect testing ground. We’ll see experiments soon 😉
