heard from someone who is working on this that it’s absolutely insane already i worked on “hey siri get me an uber” when i was at apple back in iOS 10 and can confirm that siri infra and internal apis would need a full rewrite for it so taking a long time

I am wondering if Apple would be willing to change their data collection stance to improve their AI models, I believe that was the biggest reason why Siri was lacklustre compared to the other virtual assistants

I’m pretty confident it will at least be really good at what people want to do. Since iOS 17 I’m loving Apple’s efforts in AI again. Autocorrect and autocomplete is now better than Gmail, multiple timers, with names, set by voice with very little errors. It’s a low bar but they’ve come far fast
