Been spending time exploring a new job and had much fun. I have much to learn but I’ll be a ferry boat captain to one of the local islands here. A challenge as the vessel can be loaded in many different ways depending on conditions. It becomes a diff beast. I mostly love the social aspect though.

I’ve been doing the one meal a day thing since beginning of December. There have been very few exceptions. I also do 48 hr fasts sometimes (like 10 so far, tbh it’s just skipping a meal). Weight wise it has yielded expected results. I’m continuing this schedule not because of weight but because it makes me feel I’m in control. I often feel out of control so this is a good feeling. I’m plan to skip today’s meal (so do another 48hr) because my last few days have been “extra” with my meals, and so I felt spiraling again. I trust this fast will give me back the good feeling.

Kremer Collection Really impressive private collection. Now on loan and viewable at the Alkmaar museum. Best thing about this collection to me is that it’s super clear they collect what they like, without the pieces needing to fit into themes.

Might be time for me to switch do a dumbphone and just don’t consume news. It’s stressing me out so much, I can’t believe this timeline we are in. It’s crazy the amount of respect I lost for world leaders and how that has shaken my foundation. I’m actually scared of what is to come. I have already quit my computer job, actively exploring more outside/honest/physical jobs to provide me social and structure.

Just booked a last minute bird watching excursion, starting in 50 minutes. I’m on the island of Texel this weekend and the weather is crazy nice. Also, yesterday I got an explanation on how to properly use binoculars. Turns out I’ve been mostly doing it wrong all these years lol.
