Interesting article. Feels like React has become completely engrained in the modern web. I admit I fall back to it frequently. What are you using?

When I first started using React coming Vuejs, PHP, jQuery, bootstrap, and vanilla js/html - geez React was absolute amazing to work with and still enjoy today, with Nextjs sometimes. I personally don't see a reason to switch to another client component framework. Ecosystem is great and it's easy for me

I do agree that React is overused. I currently just read the React Native part and don't agree with it at all. It definitely doesn't compare to native in terms of overall performance but it's the best cross-platform solution. The new architecture is promising to shrink the performance gap.

I agree with the sentiment, but disagree with the solution. I whole-heartedly disagree with the idea of server-side rendering for things that should be static assets. It adds cost and complexity for perceived performance benefits when there are other ways to ensure accessibility and performance on the client.

if you're not vibing with react, just go ahead and reinvent the wheel. who needs stability and community support anyway?

well, if react is too mainstream, we can always go back to tables and inline styles, right? super innovative!
