I have recently created a script to follow everyone with over 100 followers. If you dont follow me back in 5 days, don't worry I will unfollow you.

I'm coming for the 10-100 followers people next week.

Please let me know if this is a terrible idea.

After 52 minutes, I have followed 3300 people and gotten about 95 back, tracking that 3% follow back ratio. Also, I know I promised only over 100, but I started following 25 and up now.

@dwr.eth liked this post, which to me means its kosher for now.

After 3hours, we are 2.4% return follows with 7200 people followed. I think the % is going down, but I expect it to pick up when I get into more recently joined users? We shall see.

got that number wrong. We are at 4% and trending slightly higher as people log on to see that I followed them I guess.

Anyone know why FIDs are sometimes blank?

30 minutes later and I now have 41 people who have followed me back. That is a 3% followback rate in 30minutes! Y'all are really into this app.

Latest update, I think people who follow me back will be on my list of people who automatically get followed by my friends.

Either 40 of you followed me without me following you first or my script is broken and unfollowing people the second time I run it. 😳

Yes, I would be happy to. But you would need to pay for the @neynar API to use it. Give me some time to do it. I am actually not an engineer.

It isn’t totally permissionless though because I can be banned or shadow banned by the front end. Which is fine, since front ends are not canonical. But I would use a front end that filtered people like me out…

Is this how you went from 20 to 400 followers so quickly?

the script i open sourced would need a quick modification to add the active status to a 7th column in the db file it creates. and then the following script would need to just have an AND active=true kinda thing. I can get chatgpt to fix it. give me a sec.

Nope that’s how I grew and it’s effective, limit 100 might not be the best option though- I used recent casts as well

is there a way to pin a cast to be at the top? On Twitter, I got micro-famous with content around games and have had some great posts and did just that.

Also, can you tell me more about the multi-user farcaster accounts? Seems useful for a DAO like us 🤔
