Was trying to look up the opposite of monopoly, and gpt gave me monopsony, which is when there's only one buyer of a good instead of only one supplier, which is indeed an opposite on one dimension, but I meant more like "there's competition". Any better term? "Efficient market"?

monopsony sounds like a pure buyer's market-making, opposite monopoly's pure seller's market-making. maybe "perfect competition" works where every entity is subject to & incapable of influencing market-taking.

@ellis
I’d use “diversity of options” or “diverse market” as opportunity of monopoly.
