What’s a web3 sector that took too long or hasn’t lived up to the hype? Enough so that you got disillusioned and moved on? For me it’s tokenized real world assets. For others, it’s self sovereign identity, DAO coordination, merchant payments, governance, scalability, etc

it's premature but digitally productive ecovillages (like on-premise enclaves for cloud-based SaaS). seems like the process of acquisition/ management structure has consumed all available bandwidth & more novel features like tracking IRL contributions or securing depot goods/equipment still require MVP.

My primary conclusion from the web3 world is that protocols are nice, but products require a laser focused company behind them. Not enough people building on top of existing protocols
