Sometimes I wonder if people not in crypto look at the valuations of all these protocols worth hundreds of millions of dollars (on paper) that no one has never heard of before and can't help but think crypto is one giant ponzi scheme probably closer to one than any of us would like to admit tbh

They don’t know those protocols exist in the first place to be thinking about their valuations etc.

Yeah, if you're going to be honest is hard to not think most of them aren't overvalued. But that has always been the case with thechnology, much of it is overvalued because there's huge potential of some tech to be undervalued. Welcome to the world of speculation, though crypto speculation levels are so high that probably it only competes with AI.

Imo you have to be in crypto to look at the valuations of those tokens / apps / assets Most don’t even look at that - working in finance being the exception

It's hard to believe something else when 99% of projects fail (but founders keep raising money) and the main usecase is state-backed coins

The biggest barrier to crypto adoption isn't UX, it's perception

For sure. (But then again, why are so many startups valued at 10m, 30m, 300m etc. - a lot of this stuff just doesn’t make any sense; the more complex tech buzzwords the easier to buy in)
