One thing I like about Twitter is it feels like posts have a longer shelf life. Something I tweet today feels like it can simmer for a few days and still reach new people. On here I feel like the Casts are only valid for ~24 hours. Could be completely off but just a feeling I've been having lately

agreed, this has also felt more apparent recently if I don't post for a day I won't come back to engagement on old posts

I have been trying to hammer home this point with regards to channels for a couple weeks now. Channels should have more diverse ways to sort feeds, a la Reddit. We almost never have multi-day in depth conversations in casts here. Algo feed for a network this size doesn’t make sense to me.

That's been my experience too. My gripe about Warpcast is that it's "over-curated." 🍖x75 15 $Degen 55 $Aba 15 $Wild 25👏

I just looked at my Home and Trending feeds, and home had content mostly 2-4 hours old, while trending was mainly 6-8 hours old. Quite short. Would be cool to see a similar trending that was 1-2 days old and 1 week old, similar to how reddit lets you sort by longer timeframes and see better content

Yeah. Maybe like, a separate dealy from the feed incorporated into channels intended for more Reddit Like interaction? I'm not tech savy, but it feels like algos can be tweaked to a degree, but a social network should have elements of longer term interaction alongside breaking news/shitposting etc

Well observed, I have the same feeling. Also engagement generally dropped massively, which is a different problem, but might be connected.

Might have to do with the algo. Thete have been ALOT of complaints. What’s your handle on Twitter? And the official Coops records handle too.

Algo needs tuning. Knowing when a post is picking up and should stay in the feed a key to casts really taking off

my posts are sometimes found two or three days later. You're right though, they get lost in ussualy, I think the same algorithm used to be on instagram and tiktok

Max 4-6 hours in my opinion. Unless it's trending. I cast something in the morning (CET). No one from the states sees it. Or at least I don't see any reactions to it. Maybe bigger accounts can testify to this.

Agreed! Casts die so early, even less than 24hrs that’s why we’re pushed to cast a lot
