two exciting launches today @clanktank by @flex, an agentic shark tank with clanker. agent is in theory self-sustaining: earns fees from $TANK, and when they 'like' or 'love' an idea they deploy it and buy 10% or 20%. utility too, pretty elegant concept and execution @undefined by @lior, product hunt with clankers. bootstrap & get attention on your product. Good concept, and Lior raised $100k on Party to fund development which is pretty significant

I basically quit using hooks and did all data fetching on the server after tasting a codebase without hooks. loader and useLoaderData is prob the single most powerful demo for remix: - backend devs like it cause it’s still js, libraries work, no rsc - frontend gets way simpler with no loading, error, data states littered everywhere - all single file

The offender becomes the offended. OpenAI trains on data they pull from the web without owner's permission. DeepSeek distills their model using OpenAI's models without their permission. Maybe OpenAI should've been open instead of being closed with the excuse that they're doing it for safety.

A month or so after clanker launched I was looking at a term sheet in my inbox. It was more money than I’d ever made and every part of me wanted it. I wanted it sooo bad, but I also knew deep down that all the stuff that had come easy would go easy too, and that the bigger challenge was going to be much more meaningful and would play out over longer time frames. only a long series of pretty quiet choices could ever assemble themselves into what I wanted. That last thing we needed in that moment was funding, we need to clarify our vision! To know what we were building beyond an experiment. If you’re building a career in the hot potato industry, probably good to buy a slow cooker. I do think it’s a lot easier to do this once you’ve secured some measure of financial security. Without it, the siren song is loud. Anyway, we said no. And now all the most impactful decisions we’re making are mostly things we don’t talk at all about publicly (yet). I tried using Perplexity as my default search engine for a while again. I kept finding myself either just using ChatGPT MacOS app or Google Search. Each one is better at their respective use cases than Perplexity
