I'm curious when the first FC client will allow for monetization, and what it will look like. A handful of folks I've chatted with lately are drawn to Lens due to the coupling between social & finances. I don't think that's necessarily the right approach, but it's an approach nonetheless.

I'm not sure but I think monetization would have to be different on FC compared to Lens. On Lens posts can be collected, think of it something like writing NFTs on Mirror. When collected I have an NFT. The post can contain an image, a video, or a music file. Accompanying text becomes the description in the metadata.

yea I'm with you on that. not sure how I would monetize anywhere just yet so it's not something I've thought about a lot. I believe the theme of next cycle will be social in the way that the last one was about nfts. not sure what the business model looks like yet but my conviction about this grows daily.

Think it’s definitely a useful hook. Creator/fan communities are certainly a web3 thing and those aspiring creators need too see a way to get paid. Does not mean FC should do same but having an explicit opinion on whether it’s going to be in the protocol or clients would help (and can always change your mind late
