I'm curious when the first FC client will allow for monetization, and what it will look like. A handful of folks I've chatted with lately are drawn to Lens due to the coupling between social & finances. I don't think that's necessarily the right approach, but it's an approach nonetheless.

I'm not sure but I think monetization would have to be different on FC compared to Lens. On Lens posts can be collected, think of it something like writing NFTs on Mirror. When collected I have an NFT. The post can contain an image, a video, or a music file. Accompanying text becomes the description in the metadata.
