I look forward to the day where I’m notified about new content by writers I subscribe to via wallet notifications instead of email notifications. Which wallet is working on something like this?

Agreed. Personalization through OAuth or asking 10 questions during sign-up will be a thing of the past with wallet connect.

What are your thoughts on using OAuth for wallets, like how Web3Auth works? One advantage that I appreciate is a quick onboarding experience. https://web3auth.io

Has anyone built a proof of email protocol? That is, a way to sign in with a wallet but also provide an already-verified email address? Wallet notifications are still ages away for the average user.

Connecting rainbow or coinbase to an app is so magical. Scan and boom you’re in with all your stuff. Its hard to imagine a future where this isn’t the main way we do things.

Great piece. This especially resonated: "Login with Google, Twitter or Facebook are a few examples of OAuth-based logins that go beyond just an identity - they let 3rd party developers tap into the closed data these companies have (for better or for worse)."

What do you see as the biggest barrier to more apps taking this approach?
