What's your go-to hardware wallet? I have two Ledgers but recently got a Trezor. I'm a bigger fan of the Trezor UX / onboarding flow so far than Ledger.

I have been using @ledgerofficial for years but their recent blind signing nag screens are getting old very quickly so currently looking at alternatives. Have tried multiple versions of Trezors in the past but didn’t stick. I’d like to find something more open source like a Coldcard but for multiple chains.

i’ve had all the ledgers and a trezor. never loved the trezor, tbh. Nano S is my favorite - but just got the stax and like it too but haven’t used it much. would love to hear your thoughts as you start using them more!

Trezor. Still upset with Ledger that my email address was included in that hack or whatever happened. Didn’t even buy from them just filled out the form w/o submitting and they saved my info.

I am using Trezor but TBH don’t use it for much but cold storage. I was happy with the onboarding.

For BTC which is the majority of my crypto bag, coldcard. Trezor for most and a warmer wallet is my ledger

I prefer the trezor to ledger as well, but ledger has better support for other chains like Cosmos. Recently got a keystone and have been trying that. It's definitely got better security, but ux is even worse because of it. Almost unusable for day to day stuff if you use hidden accounts. Right now this is what I'm thinking sounds ideal: Hot wallet: physical passkey, like using a debt card. Tap it on my phone or a reader on my computer, or any "tap to pay" card reader in public. Runs a smart contract wallet with social recovery options if passkey is compromised, and automatically manages your eoa's & embedded wallets. Warm wallet: pin enabled hardware, like trezor or ledger. Used for managing smart contract wallets and for governance voting. Cold wallet: Air gapped hardware wallet that long term storage can be loaded onto. You can delegate authority to do things like claim & compound rewards, so you can use your passkey for maintenance, but withdrawing or moving funds requires further verification steps.

Been a ledger user since I got into crypto. I will not buy another one of their products after email addresses were leaked after the database hack, after that bullshit recently with the custodial seed phrase storage they seem to have walked back on. Next will be a Trevor safe 3 (i think it's called), but I've often thought this was the one crypto area most lacking in competition, most in need of sorting out. There's no real stand out for me just the least worst option. And grid plus is not an option unless the release the more portable device they have teased at a sensible price point.
