Are there any 401k providers for startups that support megabackdoor roth IRAs? 

Can't find a single one that does this.

Looked into them but they only seem to be for self-employment, not companies with employees.

They look great tho! If only there was a Carry but for larger companys

I thought there was a minimum number of employees needed for 401k providers to enable that.

I remember asking our finance team about it at a last startup, apparently it’s legally dubious so only big co’s do it

401k Plan design/administration takes work- typically startups are unwilling to pay the additional cost to create a boutique plan- so many 401k providers offer mainly the cookie cutter starter 401k plan- especially when starting from zero $ balance.
