current solana situation is like my 4th hypecycle and it always ends the same — people post threads, everybody is smart for a month and people move on current solana wave would make me feel something only if i was super deep into trading small cap assets im not so there is no reason to suddenly care about it

For traders, I get why they'd jump to solana right now. For builders, targeting EVM is more scalable in the sense that you can support more chains or switch chains if needed. If you want Solana's speed, maybe you should move some stuff off-chain, use validiums, etc.

On this topic: Tezos is going to release its EVM-compatible L2 infrastructure in the next few months. There'll be so many different options to deploy EVM projects, at any scalability/price/decentralization point you may want to choose. https://www.etherlink.com/

Nice! Decentralization is a spectrum.

What is nice about the Tezos approach is L2s are enshrined, so there are no multi-sigs somebody could hack or rug. Whatever level of security you assign to the Tezos L1 the same carries over to the L2. Ethereum is now also talking about enshrined rollups but it'll be a few years before they get implemented.

Are we sure that Etherlink is not a scam? There are no mutual followers on Twitter, MM gives scam alert, too. Discord looks sus. It does not send you the alleged "test" faucet tokens.
