The biggest problem with the Warpcast algorithm is that is “spam” means ANY reply with ZERO engagement (no like or reply back). This is very nuanced and difficult to navigate. It is too easy to be labeled as spammy and most users will need to change their behavior when you engage with people who don’t follow you. When you follow each other, the spam rules no longer apply because you are friends.

The other practical issue is that I use priority notifications (plain is too many notifs) which means I don’t get notified for replies to my casts from non-mutuals

So I am trying to make a habit of checking back my own casts and liking replies that are reasonably on topic / not obvious moxie baiting 

I wonder if other are not realizing that they are getting replies bc they are using priority notifs like me…

i do this too. i'm surprised at how many replies i get that never hit my radar.

Excellent point. My notifications are a hot mess. I know I miss things everyday and I feel terrible, but many of my replies are clear baiting. Too bad they don’t realize I’m out of moxie giving replies within a couple hours or reset ;)

Do the power badgers show under priority if they’re non-mutuals? Really curious

I was boosted yesterday and jumped back and forth between Warpcast (priority) and Supercast (no filtering) to get all the replies

Managing notifications can be tricky. It’s great that you’re making an effort to engage with relevant replies. Checking back and interacting with thoughtful responses is a solid strategy.

I am speaking on this because I remember how it was being on the spam list two days into WC I didn’t even know how to cast properly 😂😂
Now imagine trying to actually make genuine friends and you’re new here with priority notif you don’t even stand a chance even if you are saying something reasonable

That's what i do ! But as far as i engage with people , i try to engage with my followings !
Hope to get their replies ! And if i feel like they don't,  i don't risk it anyway😅
