Google's support of Geoff Hinton in the 2012-2014 time period (ImageNet paper) is their most remarkable achievement of the past decade. That started the modern age of AI. However, they lost the art of "fundamental new toys" which they entertained the world with in the 2000s.

Not within the past decade but a huge fan of, Google Voice. I’ve been a user since it was GrandCentral and it ended being acquired by Google in 2009. ☎️
