I wrote this a year ago. I now increasingly believe the primary reason AI will want training data onchain is not for ease of access, but the signal of the public market. Market data (mcap, volume, holders etc) becomes extremely valuable weighting factors.

Base bringing Farcaster into Coinbase Wallet—an app that has millions of existing users—helps with growth (no. 1) 6. We’re working on several big growth initiatives—both product-led (Woj will be helping with this!) and marketing / sales led (more announcements here soon!) 7. We’re investing more time in outbound messaging. You’ve likely seen our X / Twitter account get more active recently. Will be doing more here as well.
