I always try to support my friends in whatever they do. If they publish a book or an album or a product, I buy it to support. This has been stuck in my brain since meeting G Unit in 2007. I can't really remember who was there on my own team let alone G Unit's which included managers, rappers and entourage. 9/10/2007 was the night before Curtis dropped and Kanye was dropping Graduation. They had a beef that whoever sold fewer records would retire. I asked a lot of naive questions that night but the very first one was "would 50 really retire?" They just looked at me and said No this is marketing. They promo'd those albums so hard and 50 was doing a press circuit all day. One of those stops was in Second LIfe for a project I was EP'ing (see his avatar below). He did the interview poolside in Vegas and we were in NY with some of his team. After the interview we were just hanging out and I asked what they were up to next and they said they were waiting to go to Tower Records to buy his album at 12:01 AM...

I was naively surprised and was like, wait he makes you guys buy the albums? lol every get stared down by G Unit? Someone there was actually very cool and gracious and sat me down to talk to me about supporting your friends. They all had the album already, duh, they were buying the album to support their friend and his epic battle against Kanye West. From that point on I understood the value of supporting your friends even when its just a token like buying a $9.99 CD. Its hard to be a creator, weather your an unknown artists toiling away or if you are 50 Cent.

Youā€™re really deep rooted in hip hop and music overall. I totally agree with youā€¦it doesnā€™t matter if it cost $5, supporting your friends literally goes a long way. Too bad not many people know the importance of that Iā€™d say Kanye has always had supporters too, itā€™s a pity heā€™s cancelled now I donā€™t think Diddy has supporters though lol

/lessoninthere always support your friends. especially the ones just starting their career, goes a long way one of the reasons why i was surprised no one was supporting kanye when he was going crazy and getting canceled after the divorce with kim. did he make too many enemies?

A good moral to make do with today Support your friends,in any little way you can. But i have an instance tho. what if,i support a friend by pushing and sharing his crafts/content on my socials and whenever i post my crafts or content,he doesnā€™t reciprocate (been going on for a year now i think) Am i justified if i donā€™t post or support him anymore?
