i don't understand this. if we're expecting China to reunify Taiwan and for Taiwanese chips to become harder to acquire, that would tank the price, right? 

so why would she buy call options with a strike lower than market price?

they keep talking about it and it's what Xi told Biden during their most recent meeting. plus South China Sea aggression seems to be increasing. it's not out of the question, especially if the world is losing conviction over Russia/Ukraine, that would be a positive indicator for Xi, as it would reduce global resistance
