Why do this? I wonder if it’s to see weekend engagement rate given “content crystals” to seed activity (like clouds) I bet most weekday “creator” archetypes go dark on Friday night and this checks if there are actually less consumers of content vs less opportunity to engage Reply w your guesses below 🫡

guess: see interests of people that are on Farcaster. potentially noticing which subcultures emerge and can be onboarded nicely also: get to know your users

Is there a way to see overall network engagement easily? I’m trying to engage with different time zones and would love to see activities a high level. Just not sure where to look. Also not a dev, but tech savvy enough to be dangerous.

I think Dan is past personally seeding content (although this def helps). He is usually playing a meta game. My guess is he is doing this as an experiment to decide which vertical/community to use for some next experiment (maybe an on boarding experiment?)

He's trying to start conversations that will hopefully help increase activity on the platform. Not the most organic way of doing it, but I don't blame him for trying.

I told him a few days ago that, in the end, people don't care about channels; they follow people. I guess others said the same thing. Maybe he's testing this theory?

He does this to encourage people to post on different channels. As he explained in another cast, to progress Warpcast, it's necessary to bring in diverse, non-crypto perspectives.

Interesting thought! It could be an experiment to explore different engagement dynamics. Possibly they're trying to understand if weekend engagement rates reflect a dip in active users or just less content generated. Could also be testing if certain content types perform better when fewer are posting.
