I build things bc I realized I could change things about the world. I was a music kid first who learned from the hellscape internet that you could use code to fuck with people online. Then I went to college and learned you could MAKE stuff with code too, not just break stuff. But it took 4 years in the Army…

I tried changin the world via the trad route -- college, law school, planned to work in government. Then realized nothing gets done. Pivoted many times. I think I've always been entrepreneurial - it's in my dna. I'm happiest when building something, creating, being my own boss. Even better when you build with frens.

Don't consider myself a software founder buttttt... I combine things for human-centered experience call me UXooooor but it's very difficult to strike the abstraction/context balance right to be maximally useful and approachable Most times what I want doesn't exist yet so I build it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I build things because it’s how my brain is wired. As a kid I would build a LEGO, tear it down, and then rebuild it without directions and modify the structure using additional pieces. That same build method I still use today when learning new coding concepts. I’ll watch a tutorial and then tweak it for my use case

There is nothing more thrilling than creating - from a thought in your head to impact in the world. To me, it's proof that I exist. Building, for others - so that I can matter a bit in more than just my own world = the ultimate way to belong. so build for the same reason that a sunflower seed turns into a sunflower.
