fwiw I spent summer of 2019 at Amazon and this tracks w the vibe I got. Further, I’ve experienced implicit and explicit biases/comments/questions about my presumed inability to understand technical things + numbers in almost every professional context I’ve been in once people learn I’m ex-Army.

I’d pretty much reduce all veteran advancement problems in tech to “tech people assume veterans can’t or eventually won’t keep up”
