Straight up hate it for the stupidity that it bloody is.

Good at grabbing attention in a sea of Inter rounded rect sameness, but not much else. Trendy in the derogatory sense 99% of the time imo

So interesting - what's your favorite example of web design with good ux?

Hate is a strong word for it, but I am really not a fan. 

It seems like a style developed to mask empirically bad design. It eschews the raw refinement of traditional brutalism in favor of haphazard manufactured rebellion. 

It can be done well, but I struggle to think of an example off the top of my head.

what kind of marketing stuff does this make you think of?

Probably good enough for marketing stuff and maybe funky games, but not great for everyday apps or long form writing on the web.

What places are you seeing it? 

I’ve seen flashes in like clubhouse and linktree, but v few like full commitments (at least to my untrained eye)
