Does anyone else ever feel like they miss out on opportunities in crypto because they work full time? How do you balance having a FT job and wanting to participate in the ecosystem?

I do feel like I'm missing a lot because of my full time job, but I know that I have to put some limits. That's why I'm only participating in projects that I find innovative or of high value for the ecosystem. I discard projects that are too time consuming. Thereby, I know I have done the max and I have no remorse.

Careful with the FOMO mindset. Imho being truly interested and explorative in crypto at this stage offers more than enough opportunity for long term thinkers with part time availability to be terminally online.

another way to look at it is: you’re also saving yourself from a lot of unnecessary speculation.

Yesss I so used to feel like this, especially when I was working in a different industry. Felt like I couldn’t keep up! Now I’m working FT but in the space so it’s so much easier to keep aware of everything. You can only do your best with what’s possible at the time

I use to treat it as an evening/ weekend hobby. Learning and participating on chain. Tbh even now I have a full time role in crypto, I still miss things lol. It's impossible to stay up to date with everything. Just focus on what interests you:)

Try living in the Southern Hemisphere. The entire $FRAMES airdrop happened while I was asleep. But yes work does get in way of playing more than a supporting role in crypto.

i miss out on a lot of crypto things working full time in crypto. im okay with this because id never be able to handle it 24/7. missing out means im able to decompress and impact projects for work that i find meaningful

Yes, it’s true, you do miss a lot of opportunities. Definitely felt this while working full time with PoolTogether.

I operate with high amounts of “sleep debt” meaning that at on any given day of the week I might get home (at 6) and pass out till 12-1 am Weekends I’ll take naps etc to catch up I find that Fridays are especially cruel because you feel like you have an opportunity to do things but really ur tired

Even if you are full time crypto you will miss things, it’s a feeling you just have to get used to. Otherwise try to stay plugged into whatever chats you can and have a mobile wallet so you can take advantage of things that pop up while at work

Get a full time job in crypto? You're more likely to be hired if you contribute in various web3 ecosystems, in any case...so you're on the right track!
