I’m interested to hear others crypto origin stories. Mine’s below. Been mining since 2017. Now that’s been taken over by west Texas cowboys with unlimited cheap electricity and never ending capital raises, I had to find something else to do. Enter degen and now moxie.

I got my first 2 Bitcoin as a bonus from my boss in 2014. They were worth $225 each at the time. I promptly spent them on the Silk Road, developed a severe problem and spent 100s of bitcoin on drugs back then lol. Nothing to show for it now but the lesson. So, here we are! 😂

My story would probably be the same as a lot of younger people here. I was introduced to crypto because of axie infinity. Then after the token dumped, i started learning trading futures.

I hope it works good for you if it goes well for you it will for everyone else in this point haha I started in 2017 with a little amount, made a lot from it, thought i was a genius and sold everything to go full crypto, made life changing money but gave it away to the market again in the next 2 years, learned a lot, i have been profitable the past 4 years :)

I joined Crypto Twitter at the beginning of the year, but I wasn’t making waves at all. I was putting in the work, but nothing was really happening. Then a friend of mine noticed I was struggling and decided to put me on to this space. Shoutout to @archilles for onboarding me because, honestly, the rest is history. I’ve made more here than I ever have in my entire life. I'll be forever thankful for that. The only way is up from here.

2017 Veteran here. Round tripped some huge gains in that cycle. DCA’d the dip, wen’t ham in LPs during 2020 defi summer. Ended up working biz dev and copywriting for a few 100M+ market cap projects. Learned at lot along the way and planning really capitalize this cycle and have fun while doing it.

mine isn't as interesting. i discovered robinhood in 2017 and got curious about cryptocurrencies. i started buying a bunch of coins without knowing what they were, didn't even read any whitepapers. what is a whitepaper anyway? 🤣 at the time, i was also into gambling and casinos, so crypto felt like gambling to me. the profits from buying coins got me hooked. everything i bought made money and i took profits from some and reinvested. a fren introduced me to futures trading, and another taught me how to trade… i got even more hooked. spot trading has nothing on futures if you know what you're doing 🤣 but the risks are greater, nutella learned the hard way. i'd need another cast to share the full story, talk too much hahahaha

I entered crypto because I was looking for the best way to break out of the matrix @bigdegenenergy.eth I haven't broken out yet but I would coz I'm consistent I came from a humble background in Africa, struggling has been in my background, and i didn't want to follow that part so crypto abd web3 was the light

I started my crypto journey this year March, I started with CT did a couple of airdrops until a friend told me about warpcast and i joined in May That was when degen was in season 3 or thereabout, ham too was there and a couple of other projects. and here i am still bullish on farcaster

I first started in like 2021, but I was just grinding for whitelist to mint NFT’s on discord(this wasn’t easy), I’m not sure if I minted a proper project, then I started hunting for airdrops in 2022, was eligible for like two or three projects.Then I stopped all that and focused on school to finish university, finished earlier this year and my friend introduced me to farcaster in April this year and it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me, grateful to degen, jacek and wake, would forever be in my heart

It was 2013, a few months before the Silk Road was busted. My brother and I had been talking about Bitcoin and to an extent Litecoin too and we decided to set up a small mining operation at his apartment with whatever spare hardware we had around. Then the Silk Road was taken down and the world learned about crypto. We kinda became uninvolved for a bit after the 2014 crash but then 2017 Crypto Kitties fever came and I was back at it haha

Was roped in by friends who was gambling in ICOs back in 2017 and was persuaded to also start a metamask account. Had some winning and losing in some of those ICOs and forgotten all about it when the crypto winter in 2018 hits and didn't resume activity till 2022 which the previous holdings became something like seed money for current cycle.

I started around 2017 after being recommended by my friends. At first, I focused on spot trading, but I lost about $5,000 because I listened to what other people said without any information. Then I got interested in futures, and I lost a lot more variety there, so I think I lost almost $100,000 so far😭😭 I don't think I have any talent for trading.... Now I trade mostly small amounts, and I joined farcaster in April of this year. I tried DEGEN farming here at first, but it was too hard, so now I just share hobbies and make friends. And I'm going to make a lot of MOXIE! :) 69 $degen
