lol. I don’t think either existed back then. Or if they did, they were in their infancy stages.  A c-list poker player/entrepreneur/influencer in today’s world got me into mining.  I won’t say his name as he’s still active. He probably has a fid on farcaster. 

Turns out he was either in over his head or he was smart enough to swindle a lot of money out of a lot of people and make it look like the business didn’t work out.  Either way I was hooked on crypto.

I’m interested  to hear others crypto origin stories.  Mine’s below. Been mining since 2017. Now that’s been taken over by west Texas cowboys with unlimited cheap electricity and never ending capital raises, I had to find something else to do. Enter degen and now moxie.

My story would probably be the same as a lot of younger people here. I was introduced to crypto because of axie infinity. Then after the token dumped, i started learning trading futures.

Futures trading was the quickest money I got (percentage wise)

I invested 1000 USD (which is really big for me) and turned it to 7k in a week. And lost it all in a week too 😂 i got greedy and i don’t know risk management that time.

It’s time consuming though. Specially the intraday trades.

Was/is trading profitable? I’ve never had the patience.  Thanks for sharing. 1000 $degen
