Definitely. I have a LOT of fans on other platforms who aren't really interested in joining Farcaster, but would *love* a chance to support me, especially if they could do so as a basic investment vehicle.

Coincidentally, I was just talking today about whether we’ll see other network tokens outside of Farcaster in the future. I can’t see it happening right now since Moxie was designed specifically for Farcaster. But if it grows and breaks out of the Farcaster bubble, who knows? (actually you, you know 😂)

Would rather see a Moxie onboarding package where folks got a FC acct and X (10K?) amount of moxie to pick up fan tokens. To see if as an onboarding tool it impacted stickiness. Would run a 2 week subsidized onboarding, must follow airstack & betashop on X type of thing. Have the tokens given be vested. Know free folks haven’t been sticky, but could see this as a nice vampire attack methodology… Kind of akin to the promos run by sports betting etc. Would stack with promos for @polymarket frames and exclusive @zora or @rodeodotclub mints to showcase FC in all its glory. Bonus points call it > “Indian Summer” and get CB onboard, run it sometime in September/October,

Originally, I was against this, but after further reflection, I’m for it after a quick tally of the pros and cons. Despite the heavier cons, I think the pros make it worth a try. This idea works if a Farcaster has a following on other platforms and they could monetize their following via FT. Perhaps, this is to support Varun’s recent foray into cross-posting. It certainly could be a way to advertise Farcaster to those active on other platforms; show those non-members what owning your own data could mean. I don’t see a vested incentive for a non-member hodling a FT for the long-term though. An uninvested non-member might be more prone to pump/dump. Already established social media Influencers who are non-members wouldn’t leave the followings they’ve built unless their followers started leaving. Finally, a non-member FT purchaser may be more difficult to engage with and could limit the ability for someone to address their non-Farcaster fans.

Would increase value to token holders, but in my opinion it would detract from the Moxie's original goal of focusing on growing farcaster gdp and moving away from speculation.
