i was at the barber shop yesterday talking to my barber about why i'm excited for kamala and out of nowhere a group of young women in the salon started chatting about how "kamala is brat" "she gives us hope" "we went from boring old guys to believing in the future" this is not to be underestimated. elections typically are about choices between two different visions for the future. When an incumbent is running it's about stay the course or change. When biden and trump were running it was about old sleepy guy or trump. The fact that in 1-week's time people are already reframing the story around hope and future is huge, and unprecedented. Personally, i think Trump is in a world of trouble.

I think the revitalization even shocked the Dems, though Kamala's campaign has done an amazing job at capitalizing on it. The for Kamala strategy calls have been crashing Zoom because so many people want to attend. Reviewing her record, she's far more progressive than most of the party, aligning more with Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren on most votes. The initiatives she undertook as a prosecutor were steps in the right direction for justice reform. We're not gonna tear the system down - it won't let us. But we can get more progressive people in there to keep pushing it back to sanity.
