Some of mine I write down everything for 20 years now in leuchtturm1917 notebooks. I always use a Lamy pen. Red with blue ink. Same one for many many years; replace the ink cartridge regularly. I call my mom 3 times per week. I cook breakfast and dinner whenever I can. Usually every weekday. I like getting my haircut weekly. I don’t hate anyone. I’m always optimistic. To a fault. I take people on their word. To a fault.

Hubby and I have been playing an MMO called Dungeons & Dragons Online since 2006... We still play, about to go play now in fact! πŸ˜… It's our dirty little secret. We're taking our mains through like 12 racial reincarnations, 3 times each because why? we love it, that's why. We might finish by 2027! Maybe too quirky? 🫣

I don't like driving, I do almost all my commuting on foot or by bike. I always need to make jokes or puns, even at work. I have very few social relationships in real life, yet I spend a lot of time here. I work at night and sleep during the day. I often marvel at simple things and often look for details that no one else sees.

I haven't had a haircut in 5 years. Kinda superstitious that my luck is in my hair. :P I am also always optimistic, to a fault. Even in situations where I probably shouldn't be. I am a weird cat person. I spend more money on their food than my own probably and they live like absolute queens. I love Tolkien. I've read every single thing he ever wrote, including personal letters. I am a momma's boy. I would get turned into a robot and upload my brain to the cloud if I could do it 100% foolproof.

Words. Every morning, in my notebook, I write down the date and my words for the day, based on an "algorithm" that's a mix of random words and words on repeating cycles, each mapped to various time cycles. Today's words are Identity, Sustainability, Intention, Expectations, and Aesthetic. The words create the framework for my spiritual contemplations without enforcing any particular rigid dogma, which I bristle against. I'm not as fussy about notebooks as I used to be, but I always use a Pilot G-2 pen. My favorite comfort snack is air-fried potato gnocchi - lightly coat with cooking oil, air fryer at 350 for 18 minutes, then toss in cinnamon sugar. I think humanity is really cool and we're just going through growing pains at the moment, because that's what humans do. Grow.

Run a mile or more every day no matter what. Sing to/with 2yo all the time Feel no pressure to conform to in-group prestige norms, e.g. don't drink coffee or alcohol, have never done any kind of drugs, play Go rather than chess, don't really know how poker works. Much more principle-driven than goal-driven, though dogged to achieve if I do set a goal.

Cottage cheese on chicken pot pie... I really enjoy talking with strangers. It is great and surprisingly efficient way to find uncommon honesty and stress test your worldview.

I took this buddy with me wherever I go and made daily a picture (Yeah it is a painted stone - the magic sage stone) And having kids makes every usual ritual like getting ready for school/kindergarten - to an unusual adventure

I always find little optimization shortcuts in everything I do like for example I clean my hair brush with a comb and it only takes a second or I have a very fast way of putting on a duvet cover on even a king size duvet

I used to have this one particular thing I did, and would still do if CDs were still as popular now as they were then... I would buy a CD, pop it into the CD player and listen to it for hours and hours until I had all the songs memorized. It was a huge bonus if it had a lyric book!
