I’m contemplating leaving a cushy W2 job to take a serious run at something I’ve been envisioning for a decade, and is now technologically possible. 

Convince me not to.

The biggest buy in you need is from the current co-founder of your family - your spouse. Their life will be impacted more than either of you can imagine right now.

Once that’s settled, there’s no reason not to pursue it :)
