Founders, are you doing any side jobs to supplement income while building? Or just heads down building?

All in. No real time/bandwidth for side jobs. Limited runway also boosts desperation and motivation

Currently, heads down building, always found too hard to focus on few things without sacrificing the output you can produce. Unless you're building mostly in hackathons, exploring some ideas for a short-time, so that eventually it can become one of the domain space you work on.

Yes got family to feed. Decided yesterday that I need to time box it as I can’t go on like that for ever (doing 2 jobs + parenting)

Ran 100% of the jobs through the company to bootstrap, eventually parlayed that operating experience and revenue into venture funding. Bonuses are a better incentive structure than side gigs.

I saved up to take a year off to try my startup. One year has turned into 5. I had a part time consulting gig for 3 years. Been able to survive off small grants. I’m 100% in and ramen profitable for now. The money always seems to find me as long as I focus on building

I'm looking to balance time for other projects that pay along with my focus in building my startup It's not easy but the path ahead seems a little bit more clear at least

I’m lucky to get to focus all my energy on Structs. It really does make a huge difference - both in the project and myself Ngl though, money getting deposited into my bank account regularly would be a delight

If it's not your "one thing" it's a side project, which is great! But if you're a founder, you should make it your one thing.
