Deeeeeeefinitely not. It’s literally an interconnected network. There are parts that are American, there are parts that are Chinese, African, south East Asian, European etc.

I think the majority of English content that gets the most attention are created / driven by American users. Hence, the internet feels very American focused for the most part. For multilingual users, however, they will understand the internet is a lot larger.

I take the Internet to mean the modern World Wide Web. Tim Berner's Lee invented HTTP while in Switzerland. He is British by nationality. Though Britain was in the EU at the time. Though its fair to say the United States has pioneered most of the best user cases, platforms and infrastructure that make up the Internet. So I guess its like Ethereum. Vitalik is Tim. He started in Canada, formally launched it in Switzerland, though most of the best use cases were built in the US / EU.
