Yesterday, I sat down with management at Prahran Market, Melbourne’s oldest food market, established in 1864, and was presented with an opportunity to lease a site in Market Square—an outdoor courtyard set to be reinvigorated with events, activations, music, and live sports on the big screen, with the market hand-selecting operators to shape its future. With the local council investing heavily in the market’s upgrade, this is a great chance to secure a spot early and be part of its long-term growth. The plan would be to relocate Nouns Deli, utilising as much existing equipment as possible to keep costs down while moving into one of Melbourne’s top food destinations. Prahran Market attracts 70,000 visitors each week and is evolving to meet a younger, more food-focused audience. This move puts us in a high-traffic, high-visibility location with room for future opportunities. We believe this is the right move for Nouns Deli, but we'd love to hear your thoughts or reach out with any questions ⌐◨-◨

Two easy recipe ideas for travel 🚗 When cooking in an Airbnb kitchen I love simple recipes that can be easily adapted depending on what ingredients I have. Pasta and gnocchi dishes are perfect for this! On the left: cauliflower gnocchi with kale and spicy chicken sausage On the right: pasta and red sauce with ground turkey

Did you know that seashells are the oldest kind of currency? I’ve been taking breaks from working on the newest kinds of currency to hike down to the beach and look for shells. I get a dopamine rush when I see a little sparkle in a tide pool. It feels primal, but also eerily similar to hunting for magic internet money on my computer, like despite millennia of evolution our brains are still pretty much the same. I’ve started airdropping abalone shells into my friends’ hands when I run into them at the post office. I might try to kickstart a new local seashell economy and trade with my neighbors for fresh milk and eggs. Wish me luck.

Coat with olive oil, salt and pepper, sweet paprika, and garlic powder 3. Roast at 400 degrees until golden brown and slightly crispy 4. Top with feta and fresh parsley. Enjoy :)
