Funny how nobody in SF cares about Burning Man anymore. Zoomers just don't do that sort of thing anymore (among many other things they don't do).

The vibe in SF used to radically change during BM week. Now it won't even be mentioned.

I always saw it as a remnant of the past. I think some millennials stuck with it because they wanted to fit in with the culture. The culture has shifted enough that zoomers are no longer doing many things that boomers, Xers and some millennials did.

Such a bummer. SF used to be great during BM week.

Was talking about this yesterday. I think it’s cyclical. It’s actually cool when it’s not in the commoner zeitgeist and then when it becomes overly popular and extra sparkle pony is when the cool people kinda fade away from going. This started to happen in like 2018ish and in 2019 a lot of people skipped the main one and went to renegades instead and it’s been like that for a few years now. I talked to an old timer and he said the is happens every 10 years or so and then we it’s not cool again it will cycle back. The question is — where’s the actual party this year? :)
