Funny how nobody in SF cares about Burning Man anymore. Zoomers just don't do that sort of thing anymore (among many other things they don't do).

I always saw it as a remnant of the past. I think some millennials stuck with it because they wanted to fit in with the culture. The culture has shifted enough that zoomers are no longer doing many things that boomers, Xers and some millennials did.

It was a core part of SF Web2 culture until about maybe 2018. SF really did empty out totally during BM, and it was somehow always in the Zeitgeist (what camp you were a part of was part of your identity). What's odd to me is not that one thing falls out of fashion, is that almost nothing seems to be replacing it (which is a bit sad).
