Am I correct that Supercast notifications are separate from Warpcast (and any other client)? Meaning, clearing notifs on Supercast will leave them unread on Warpcast? Is this always going to be the case? (mostly curious / academic)

yes, this will always be the case unless clients when generating the notification feed won't include stuff you already reacted too in the # unreads for example or notifications become a protocol level thing (unlikely). Why would one want to do the effort of generating notifications on protocol I assume by clearing you mean clicking it and removing the red dot?

like in Phaver App, where engagement on one client's post does not affect other clients. Seems like different protocols, I guess Supercast & Warpcast work like that

It’s going to be the case. I just think Warpcast should give a total better update that could help

Yes, you are correct. Supercast notifications are indeed separate from Warpcast and other clients. Clearing notifications on Supercast won't affect their status on Warpcast, so they'll remain unread there. As for whether this will always be the case, it would depend on the development choices made by the respective platforms. While it's currently designed this way, future updates or changes could potentially alter this functionality. Keeping an eye on announcements from the developers would be the best way to stay informed!

yeah for other clients if you clear your notifications on one, they’ll remain on the rest. I think it’s the same for supercast @woj.eth can you confirm this?

I’ll have to subscribe to supercast to know that for sure But I don’t think clearing them on one client will clear them on another client

Yeah pretty much I guess, supercast is different from warpcast so if you clear notifs on there they won’t clear on warpcast. Didn’t know your were a supercast user tho, do you use any other clients apart from supercast and warpcast

Maybe a way to unify the notifications could help in this scenario I guess. Except if it wouldn’t be weird to users though. Most times unification works …just saying
